INSTRUKTUR

Ir. Deddy Nugraha is a dedicated experienced fulltime trainer and technical consultant since 2002. He holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from ITB, Bandung. He has worked nationally in a wide variety of industries including: technology, aerospace, utilities, auditing, mining and institutions thus engaged as a corporate consultant. He also holds certifications for those particular fields from Snecma, France; Engine Support Inc., USA; Danobat, Spain; DNV, Singapore; MTU, Germany and FAA Auditor, USA. Mr. Nugraha is a member of Indonesian Society for Reliability and was elected as General Sectretay for 2004-2007 period. He has trained hundreds of managers, engineers and floor associates, subjects taught to include; CMMS, RCM, TPM, Project Management, Quality Process Control, Corrosion Control and Protection, Failure Analysis, Engineering Design, Instalation & Constrcution, Inventory Control and Management. DESKRIPSI

Misalignment and unbalance are two major causes of vibration in rotating equipment, vibration that means increased maintenance and reduced machine life. With proper alignment and balancing programs, reductions in maintenance and operating costs can easily reach into six figures per year. When shafts are misaligned, forces are generated that can produce stresses on the rotating and stationary components. Even when couplings do not fail from the stresses produced by gross misalignment, bearings and seals will most certainly fail under these conditions. In extreme cases of misalignment, even the shafts may fracture and break. Out-of-balance machine components are a principal cause of machinery vibration. The condition often is caused by less-than-perfect manufacturing, and it is routine for rotating equipment, reciprocating machines and vehicles. Mass balancing may be necessary if an operation or product requires quiet operation, high speeds, long bearing life, operator comfort, controls free of malfunctioning or a quality feel. There are three types of balancing machines: static balancing stands, hard bearing machines, and soft bearing machines. Static balancing stands do not require spinning up and can correct for static or single-plane unbalance only. They feature low cost and safe operation.

DESKRIPSI

Rotating equipment adalah peralatan yang sangat vital dalam semua jenis industri, baik yang berfungsi sebagai peralatan pemindahan dan pengiriman misalnya pompa, maupun berfungsi sebagai peralatan konversi energi misalnya compressor dan turbin gas. Karena frekwensi kerjanya yang terus-menerus selama 24 jam per hari, maka jelas peralatan tersebut memerlukan pengawasan, pemeliharaan dan perawatan yang harus dilaksanakan secara periodic dan terjadual dengan ketat, disamping bila muncul gangguan-gangguan yang tidak terduga, maka harus segera dilakukan tindakan pencegahan, supaya tidak terjadi kerusakan yang lebih fatal. Pada pelatihan rotating equipment ini akan membahas peralatan rotating equipment yang sering dan terbanyak dipakai di dunia industri, antara lain pompa sentrifugal, rotary compressor dan turbin gas. Pokok bahasan dalam pelatihan ini diutamakan pada masalah maintenance dan troulble shooting dari peralatan tersebut. Disamping itu juga terdapat beberapa anilisa terhadap sebab-sebab mengapa biasa terjadi gangguan tersebut, serta parameter-parameter yang menjadi tolak ukur yang mengindikasikan bahwa peralatan tersebut mengalami gangguan.

Diharapkan mempunyai latar belakang pendidikan teknik yang sesuai, minimum lulusan SMK (dari jurusan mesin). Karyawan industri dengan latar belakang  yang sesuai dengan judul pelatihan diatas.

Most of plant’s equipments are rotary. Therefore, understanding the principles of rotating equipments is very essential. Identification of failure modes and monitoring methods of failure symptom are important as well, for establishing the most effective maintenance program.
This course begins with discussing the definition of rotating equipments, their types and their primary functions, as well as the general characteristics of rotating equipments in relation with their performance. Then, a detailed discussion on primary rotating equipments, namely pumps, compressors, turbines and fans/blowers, will be given. The discussion includes the classification for each type, the performance characteristics and the frequent failure modes. This course is closed with a procedure to conduct alignment of axles and predictive maintenance for rotating equipments.
