Bidang control dan instrumentasi dalam dunia industri memiliki peran penting apalagi dalam proses yang membutuhkan presisi, kehandalan dan keamanan sistem. Instrumentasi telah menjadi bidang yang bermanfat besar terutama dalam kegiatan otomatisasi industri. Sistem Instrumentasi merupakan sebuah sistem yang meliputi pengaturan variable-variabel seperti temperature (temperature), tekanan (pressure), aliran (flow) dan kecepatan (speed). Variable-variable ini merupakan keluaran yang harus dijaga tetap sesuai dengan keinginan yang telah ditetapkan terlebih dahulu oleh operator yang disebut set point.
Process control dilakukan untuk menjamin bahwa proses yang dilakukan sesuai dengan yang diinginkan, sehingga kualitas yang didapat akan terjamin. Dalam process control, data merupakan komponen sangat penting dalam pengendalian kualitas proses maupun bahan pertimbangan utama dalam pengambilan keputusan. Keakuratan komponen-komponen akan menentukan jaminan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Adanya kesalahan dalam satu bagian proses pengambilan maupun pengolahan data dapat berakibat dapat fatal, hal tersebut terjadi karena pengambilan keputusan pada sistem kontrol yang tidak akurat.
Kesadaran akan pentingnya akurasi pengukuran menuntut pemahaman akan karakteristik instrumentasi yang digunakannya, termasuk didalamnya fasilitas komunikasi yang tersedia sebagai sarana interface dengan peralatan lainnya. Training ini akan membahas sisi praktis dan prinsip-prinsip sistem kontrol yang selama ini terjadi di industri. Mengingat pentingnya hal tersebut pelatihan diharapkan akan sangat membantu memberikan wawasan kepada para peserta mengenai instrumentasi agar dapat bermanfaat pada aktivitas di industri. Ir.Endra Joelianto, Ph.D. is an expert in control engineering and industrial automation. His outstanding research is: Hybrid Control Systems, Discrete Event Control Systems, Petri Nets Analysis and Application on PLC, Robust and Advanced PID Controller and its implementation on PLC, DCS, Fieldbus, Industrial automation and Advanced Control System Designs. He received first degree (Ir.) in Engineering Physics in 1990 from Department of Engineering Physics, ITB and Doctor of Philosofy (PhD.) in Control Engineering in 2001 from Department of Engineering, The Australian National University, Canberra, Australia.  He is Head of Intelligent Control and Automation Laboratory and Coordinator of PLC Research Group for research and training, Engineering Physics Study Program and Instrumentation and Control Research Division, Institut Teknologi Bandung. He was Director of Schneider-OMRON PLC Training Center, Maranatha Christian University, Bandung.  He has attended several professional training on PLC, DCS and Instruments Callibration, such as: Yokogawa DCS, Bandung (2000), Implementation of Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 19-17025 and Basic Calibration, Yokogawa Electric Corporation, Bandung (2001), Fieldbus Foundation Technology, Singapore (2002), Basic and Advanced PLC Telemecanique-TWIDO, Bandung (2003), Basic and Advanced PLC OMRON, Jakarta (2004), Cleaner Production Application in Industries (Bandung 2005), Effective Energy Systems for Sustainable Development (Thailand 2006), Programming and Networking PLC Mitsubishi (2006), InTouch Wonderware, Wonderware Historian and Information Server (Bandung, 2012). DESKRIPSI

A wellhead is a general term used to describe the component at the surface of an oil or gas well that provides the structural and pressure-containing interface for the drilling and production equipment. The primary purpose of a wellhead is to provide the suspension point and pressure seals for the casing strings that run from the bottom of the hole sections to the surface pressure control equipment. Once the well has been drilled, it is completed to provide an interface with the reservoir rock and a tubular conduit for the well fluids. The surface pressure control is provided by a christmas tree, which is installed on top of the wellhead, with isolation valves and choke equipment to control the flow of well fluids during production.

Ir.Endra Joelianto, Ph.D. is an expert in control engineering and industrial automation. His outstanding research is: Hybrid Control Systems, Discrete Event Control Systems, Petri Nets Analysis and Application on PLC, Robust and Advanced PID Controller and its implementation on PLC, DCS, Fieldbus, Industrial automation and Advanced Control System Designs. He received first degree (Ir.) in Engineering Physics in 1990 from Department of Engineering Physics, ITB and Doctor of Philosofy (PhD.) in Control Engineering in 2001 from Department of Engineering, The Australian National University, Canberra, Australia.  He is Head of Intelligent Control and Automation Laboratory and Coordinator of PLC Research Group for research and training, Engineering Physics Study Program and Instrumentation and Control Research Division, Institut Teknologi Bandung. It is estimated that electrical drives and other rotating equipment consume about 50% of the total electrical energy generated in the world today. Other estimates are that pumps, fans, blowers and compressors consume as much as 65% of this total. A large proportion of these applications are powered by fixed or constant speed drivers whose load demands often fluctuate. This poor match of speed and demand results in considerable wasted energy and significantly increased wear of system components. Variable speed drive technology is a cost effective method to match driver speed to load demands and is an excellent opportunity to reduce operating costs and improve overall efficiencies in your application.

Ir.Endra Joelianto, Ph.D. is an expert in control engineering and industrial automation. His outstanding research is: Hybrid Control Systems, Discrete Event Control Systems, Petri Nets Analysis and Application on PLC, Robust and Advanced PID Controller and its implementation on PLC, DCS, Fieldbus, Industrial automation and Advanced Control System Designs. He received first degree (Ir.) in Engineering Physics in 1990 from Department of Engineering Physics, ITB and Doctor of Philosofy (PhD.) in Control Engineering in 2001 from Department of Engineering, The Australian National University, Canberra, Australia. He is Head of Intelligent Control and Automation Laboratory and Coordinator of PLC Research Group for research and training, Engineering Physics Study Program and Instrumentation and Control Research Division, Institut Teknologi Bandung. He was Director of Schneider-OMRON PLC Training Center, Maranatha Christian University, Bandung. He has attended several professional training on PLC, DCS and Instruments Callibration, such as: Yokogawa DCS, Bandung (2000), Implementation of Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 19-17025 and Basic Calibration, Yokogawa Electric Corporation, Bandung (2001), Fieldbus Foundation Technology, Singapore (2002), Basic and Advanced PLC Telemecanique-TWIDO, Bandung (2003), Basic and Advanced PLC OMRON, Jakarta (2004), Cleaner Production Application in Industries (Bandung 2005), Effective Energy Systems for Sustainable Development (Thailand 2006), Programming and Networking PLC Mitsubishi (2006), InTouch Wonderware, Wonderware Historian and Information Server (Bandung, 2012). He also has hosted Workshop on Industrial Automation (Bandung, 2002) and (Bandung, 2003), Workshop on Application of PLC in Industrial Automation (Bandung, 2003), National Workshop on Instrumentation & Control (2011) and many professional trainings on PLC, DCS, SCADA, Human Machine Interface and Industrial Process Control and Automation in Bandung. DESKRIPSI

A wellhead is a general term used to describe the component at the surface of an oil or gas well that provides the structural and pressure-containing interface for the drilling and production equipment. The primary purpose of a wellhead is to provide the suspension point and pressure seals for the casing strings that run from the bottom of the hole sections to the surface pressure control equipment. Once the well has been drilled, it is completed to provide an interface with the reservoir rock and a tubular conduit for the well fluids. The surface pressure control is provided by a christmas tree, which is installed on top of the wellhead, with isolation valves and choke equipment to control the flow of well fluids during production.
